18U Boston Bandits Team Celebrates After the Finals Game, 2/8 in Clifton Park, NY

Congratulations to both the 16U & 18U teams for taking home the 2014-15 Elite Prospects League Championship title!

Both teams got on the bus and headed to Clifton Park, NY last Thursday evening to prepare for their first playoff games on Friday morning.

The 18U played the Cleveland Lumberjacks first for a 3-2 win. Friday evening the Bandits took on Northwood School, of which Bandits Head Coach Scott Drevitch is an alumni, and defeated them 3-1. The third game was Saturday, February 7th against CP Dynamo 2:30pm. CP Dynamo and the Boston Bandits have battled all year long, but this weekend the Bandits went in prepared to grind through the competition and came out on top 4-2. They were matched up with the CT Oilers on Sunday morning for the semi-final game, which was a close 2-1 with points from Logan Drevitch and Mike Taormina. In the finals, Bandits weren't taking "no" for an answer and were determined to win it all. Their hard work this year showed and the boys played well earning two points each period, with goalie #29 Dakota Delbridge shutting out the Northwood School 6-0. Points for the finals game came from #26 Eduards Tralmaks, #19 Mike Taormina, #4 Logan Drevitch, #12 Erik Hajdu, & two from #81 Sam Zietara. We are very proud of you all!

The 16U Bandits won with matching scores on Friday, 4-3 over the CP Dynamo & Applecore. The game against CP Dynamo went into overtime and the final goal came from #9 Justin Bofshever. On Saturday they played a close 2-1 game against the Northern Cyclones, and on Sunday morning outshot the GNY Stars by 12 and won. The Bandits goalie #30 Christian Pellegrino shutout the Maryland Selects as the boys played well and defeated them 6-0, 5 of which points were scored by Bofshever and the 6th by #13 Josh Gillrie. Congrats to Head Coach Mark Jones and the entire team!
