The Boston Bandits are proud to announce former Junior A forward Freddy Gerard has committed to play Division I college hockey at The Ohio State University.  Gerard and Ohio State play in the newly formed Big 10 Conference.  In his two seasons with the Bandits team, Gerard played in 83 league games.  During those league games he notched 28 goals and 35 assists for 63 total points.

The Rocky River, Ohio native has top speed and very crafty with the puck.  After playing under Head Coach Todd Stirling, Gerard joined the Madison Caps in the USHL.  Coach Stirling comments, “Freddy is a genuine young man that has blossomed into a very good hockey player.  While with the Bandits, Freddy was a leader both on and off the ice, as well as being a go to guy!  I wish him nothing but the best next year in the Big 10”.

Gerard was one of 13 players from the 2013-14 team that went on to play college hockey.
